Our heartfelt congratulations on the fruitful visit of His Excellency Matt Western MP, the UK Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy, to the Kingdom of Cambodia on 20–21 October 2025!

During his visit, H.E. Matt Western MP attended the inauguration ceremony of Techo International Airport, which was presided over by Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. The Techo International Airport is a landmark infrastructure project designed by the renowned UK architectural firm Foster + Partners.

H.E. Matt Western MP also met with H.E. Samheng Bora, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce. Both sides discussed advancing Cambodia–UK bilateral trade cooperation to a higher level, with a focus on inclusive, resilient, and sustainable growth; the development of green Special Economic Zones; and technical collaboration under the ASEAN–UK Economic Integration Programme (EIP). These discussions were aligned with the development visions of both nations, particularly in preparation for the upcoming 3rd Cambodia–UK Trade and Investment Forum.

In addition, H.E. Matt Western MP met with representatives from British businesses and educational institutions in Cambodia, who have been actively contributing to job creation, innovation, and sustainable and inclusive economic development.

This special envoy visit marks another significant step toward further strengthening the economic and trade partnership between Cambodia and the United Kingdom.
