On 24 November 2025, Mr. CHHUON Naroeun, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, accompanied by Ms. OUK Daracheata, First Secretary, attended the 34th Assembly Session of the International Maritime Organization (IMO) in London. The Assembly, participated by delegates from 176 IMO Member States, is held from 24 November to 3 December 2025, focuses on discussions regarding maritime safety, international standards, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, supporting developing countries, and promoting advanced technologies in the shipping sector.
The participation of the Cambodian delegation underscores Cambodia’s commitment to multilateral cooperation and to the sustainable, technology-driven development of the maritime sector.
