On June 11, 2025, Her Excellency Tuot Panha, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland, accompanied by Mrs. Meach Sopheavy, Counselor, and Mr. Hang Sochivin, Commercial Attaché, held a working meeting with His Excellency Seang Thay, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Commerce. H.E. Seang Thay led a delegation from the Ministry of Commerce and a group of Cambodian business representatives on a mission to the United Kingdom to explore and assess the feasibility of establishing a Cambodian Private Commercial Center in the UK in the near future.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views and held discussions on legal procedures, necessary requirements, potential collaboration with private companies, AZ Builder Co., Ltd and Sohl Co., Ltd, and lessons learned from the operation of similar centers in other countries.
The establishment of a Cambodian Private Commercial Center in the United Kingdom is expected to enhance the visibility and presence of Cambodian products in the UK market. The Embassy remains committed to providing continued support, cooperation, and coordination in this endeavor.
