On 09 January 2024, His Excellency Lay Samkol paid a farewell call on Ms. Victoria Busby OBE, Director Protocol and Vice-Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps, at the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) as he is completing his tour of duty as Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment and aspiration to working together in the future to strengthen bilateral ties and cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.
