Ms. Meach Sopheavy, Chargé d’ Affaires a.i. paid a courtesy call on His Excellency Stefan Gullgren, Ambassador of Sweden to the United Kingdom

During the meeting, both sides highly valued the friendship and cooperation and committed to further promoting closer partnership in areas of common interest. Taking this opportunity, Ms. Meach Sopheavy expressed appreciation to Sweden for supporting Cambodian candidature as a member of the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) for the term 2028-2030 at the elections to be held during the UN General Assembly in June 2027 in New York. Furthermore, she sought Sweden government’s support for Cambodian candidature as a member of the Organizational Committee Peacebuilding Commission (OCPBC) for the term 2025-2026 at the elections to be held during the UNGA in New York in 2024.
